Renowned as one of the greatest competitive shooters in modern history, Green has leveraged his exceptional skills to train thousands of military personnel, law enforcement officers, and civilians in safe, effective firearm handling and precision shooting techniques.
As a Louisiana native, Green developed an early passion for marksmanship while participating in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) air rifle team, where he became the first recipient of the Civilian Marksmanship Programs (CMP) Junior Distinguished Air Rifle Badge (Badge #1). He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2003 and was assigned to the USAMU in March 2004. Over the course of his military career, Green served as a shooter, instructor, and Team Chief for the USAMU Service Rifle Team until 2022 when transitioned into a mentorship role to help guide the next generation of leadership. For over 20 years Green functioned as a lead instructor for the unit's comprehensive marksmanship training programs for all branches of service to include Tier 1 Special Missions Units. He also led combined courses such as the annual Small Arms Firing School at the National Matches, where he emphasized foundational principles to enhance marksmanship in recreational and competition settings
Green's training philosophy integrates real-world practices with advanced marksmanship fundamentals, drawing from his extensive competitive experience. He has contributed to educational resources, including a USAMU video series, the CMP Marksmanship 101 courses, and private training protocols. His instructional approach has helped build confidence and proficiency in students at all levels, from beginners learning basic firearm operation to advanced competitors and professionals refining long-range skills.
Green's achievements underscore his capabilities in marksmanship and reinforce his credibility as an instructor.
